Quotation of Love

Waxing Eloquent on Beautiful Love with a Quotation of Love
A lot of ink has been exhausted in writing about a variety of subjects like life, death, happiness, and grief. However, the one topic that has remained a favorite with authors, playwrights, poets, and laypeople alike has been: love. Each of the quotes below is a quotation of love!

Joseph Campbell
When you make a sacrifice in marriage, you're sacrificing not to each other but to unity in a relationship.

Pearl S. Buck
A good marriage is one which allows for change and growth in the individuals and in the way they express their love.

Doc Childre
The greatest gift a parent can give a child during all the ups and downs of life is love.

Sydney Smith
Marriage resembles a pair of shears, so joined that they cannot be separated; often moving in opposite directions, yet always punishing any one who comes between them.

Thomas Moore
Romantic love is an illusion.
Most of us discover this truth at the end of a love affair or else when the sweet emotions of love lead us into marriage and then turn down their flames.

Honore de Balzac
One should believe in marriage as in the immortality of the soul.

Amy Bloom
Marriage is not a ritual or an end. It is a long, intricate, intimate dance together and nothing matters more than your own sense of balance and your choice of partner.

Anonymous
It is not uncommon for slight acquaintances to get married, but a couple really have to know each other to get divorced.

French Proverb
Love makes time pass; time makes love pass.

W. Somerset Maugham
Love is only a dirty trick played on us to achieve continuation of the species.

Martin Scorsese
You've got to love something enough to kill it.

Chinese Proverb
Married couples who love each other tell each other a thousand things without talking.

Douglas Jerrold
In all of the wedding cake, hope is the sweetest of plums.

Top 10 Friendship Quotes

1. Latin Proverb
A friend in need is a friend indeed.
2. Robert Louis Stevenson
A friend is a gift you give yourself.
3. Sicilian Proverb
Only your real friends tell you when your face is dirty.
4. John Lennon
I get by with a little help from my friends.
5. Kahlil Gibran
Friendship is always a sweet responsibilty, never an oppourtunity.
6. Edgar Watson Howe
When a friend is in trouble, don't annoy him by asking if there is anything you can do. Think up something appropriate and do it.
7. Charles Caleb Colton
True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost.
8. E. M. Forster
If I had to choose between betraying my country and betraying my friend, I hope I should have the guts to betray my country.
9. Winnie the Pooh
You can't stay in your corner of the forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.
10. Epicurus
It is not so much our friends' help that helps us as the confident knowledge that they will help us.

Adjunct to Antivirus

It takes more than just antivirus software to prevent infection. Fortunately, following the few simple steps outlined below can provide a good measure of security in very little time.

Install antivirus software and keep it updated.
You should check for new definition updates daily. Most antivirus vendors offer automatic daily updates to home users, but some - such as Norton AntiVirus - do not. Here's my recommendations for the Top Windows Antivirus Software.

Keep your system patched.
Windows vulnerabilities are constantly being discovered. Visit the Windows Update Center at least monthly to ensure you have all critical patches needed.

Viruses continue to exploit old vulnerabilities because many users do not apply patches regularly. Not only does not applying these patches leave your system at risk, it leaves your friends and family at greater risk as well. Remember, if a worm gets on your system because you failed to apply the proper patches, every email address on your system may become the worm's next target. Try explaining that to Grandma Ellie.

Use a firewall.
No Internet connection is safe without one. Firewalls are necessary even if you have a dial-up Internet connection. If you have broadband, your system is even more vulnerable to attack. Several of the recommended antivirus software come with integrated firewalls. Excellent free firewall software is available as well.

Secure your email.
Make sure your email client isn't leaving you open to infection. Visit the Email Help Center for the necessary configuration changes. Attachments are only part of the problem. Unless you configure it properly, apply the patches, AND exercise caution with attachments, your email is your weakest link.

Secure your browser.
If using Internet Explorer, take advantage of the security zones settings to ensure optimum browsing safety. To do this, follow the steps outlined in Securing Internet Explorer. Not only will you enjoy safer browsing, you'll be able to eliminate unwanted pop-ups as well.

Regularly scan for spyware.
Here's a list of the Top Spyware Scanners, based on my extensive testing. Remember to check for new definitions on a regular basis and scan your system at least weekly.

Separate fact from fiction.
Don't fall victim to virus hoaxes that tell you to delete perfectly legitimate files or otherwise spread needless alarm. Visit the Hoax Encyclopedia before forwarding on those dire sounding emails warning of non-existent viruses. To get the true scoop on other falsehoods traveling via email, make Urban Legends and Folklore a regular Internet pit stop.

Mengapa Wanita Cantik Memilih Pria 'Standar'

Tak perlu heran melihat begitu banyak wanita cantik menggandeng pria bertampang 'standar'.

How to Add Google Advertisements (Google AdSense) to Your Blog or Website

What is Google AdSense?

Adsense is Google's advertising network that places those sponsored ads you see on many websites. Google automatically checks the web page it places the ads on and displays advertisements that are relevant to the page. This produces highly targeted adverts for the page, allowing, hopefully, higher returns for the advertiser, the advertising network (Google) and the publisher (you).

Before You Start

You must have an existing website before you apply to the Google AdSense program. If you don't already have one, read the The Beginner's A-Z Guide to Making Your Own Website to get started with your site first. The Google AdSense team reviews your site before accepting new applications, so you must first put up a working website and not just some "under construction" page. For example, if you are starting a personal blog, post a few articles about yourself or your experiences first.

Steps to Getting Google AdSense Ads on Your Site

1. Apply to Google

When your site is fully functional, apply to Google AdSense. ( Generate revenue from your website. Google AdSense. )

Google will then send you an email to verify your email address. Follow the instructions in that message (which is basically to click a link). Once you do that, your application will be sent to the Google AdSense team, one of whom will pop by your website to review it. Don't hold your breadth though, it may take a couple of days before they get around to your site. During this time, if your site is a blog, continue to post to it as per normal.

2. Configure Your Ads

Once your account is approved, you can log into your account to get the necessary HTML code to paste into your blog or web page. The code can be found in the "AdSense Setup" tab. There are a number of options, but the code for the context-sensitive advertisements can be located under the "AdSense for Content" link. You'll be able to customize the appearance of the advertisements, choose between text advertisements, image ads or a mixture of both. Once you have finished configuring, you will be given some HTML code which you can cut and paste into your site.

There are other types of adverts beside the context-sensitve ads. "AdSense for Search" provides you with a Google search box that you can place on your site. When your visitors search through that box, and click an advertisement, it will be as though they had clicked an ad on your site. "Referrals" provide you with ads for specific products.

3. Pasting the Google AdSense Code onto Your Blog or Web Page

Make sure that when you insert the code into your site, you insert it as HTML.

If you run a blog, you may want to paste the code into your blog's template instead of individually stuffing it into every post you make.

4. Entering Your PIN into the Google Site

When your earnings reach a certain amount (it was US $10 the last time I checked) for the first time, Google will send you a card by snail mail (ordinary paper mail) with a series of characters printed on it. You will need to log into your AdSense account and enter this series of characters, the PIN, before they will send you any payments. It takes a while before this card is sent (a few weeks after you reach the threshold amount they define, depending on where you live), so just wait for it. You will only have to do this once in the life of the account.

Cautionary Notes: Things to Look Out For

1. Never Click Your Own Google Ads

One of the things you must always remember is never click your own Google ads, even if it is to find out whether the site linked to is acceptable for your website's audience. Since (at this time) Google pays AdSense for Content ads according to the number of clicks, clicking your own ads is regarded as fraud, and will, at the very least, get you kicked out of the AdSense program.

Although Google doesn't say this, if you are showing off your blog or website to your family members, make sure they do not click any of your advertisements either. This is the case even if they are genuinely interested in the products advertised. They can always look for it by name in a search engine later if they wish, but for anyone living in your own household, any Google advert on your site is strictly off limits. The reason for this is that clicks from your household will look exactly like clicks from you.

2. Don't Expect a Fortune Unless You Have Traffic

This only comes after you have done some serious website promotion or advertising.

Be realistic: remember that even if someone clicks your ads, you may just get a cent or two from that click, assuming that Google doesn't discount that click for some reason. In addition, only a very miniscule percentage of your visitors will actually click ads. Put those factors together and you can roughly guess how much you are going to make if you only have a few visitors per day.

3. Don't Put Ads if You're Selling Something

If you can, try not to put Google AdSense ads or, in fact, any advertisements at all, if you are trying to sell a product or service on your website. There are a couple of reasons for this:

1. You may be inadvertantly advertising for your competitors. You cannot predict what sort of ads are going to pop up in the AdSense code for your site. What you see when you load your site may not necessarily be what your visitors see. If a competitor places an ad that Google finds relevant for your page (and it surely will, if Google's context-sensitive engine works correctly), then their ad will appear on your page. You may thus lose sales to that competitor as a result of the ads.

2. Ads distract your visitors from the real focus of your site. You want your users to read your sales copy, not clicking on links to go to some other site even if those links do not lead to your competitors

How To Save Money

You could definitely say that saving money is your best defense against bankruptcy. It prevents you from possible financial loss and gives you the opportunity to actually earn more money. How? By expanding your finances and enabling you to create a money-generating business that will help you earn extra.

Your ability to earn money is not limited by the walls of basic employment. Yes, you can start up your own business, use it for loan purposes and earn interest on them while being used, among other possibilities.

But keep the basics in mind: Saving is the key! Spend less money than you earn and keep something for future use and for unforeseen circumstances.

How to effectively maximize your financial resources? How to manage your money by developing correct habits and outlook suitable for your goals?

Wants and Needs - Only buy items if you need them. You need things that are vital for your existence. Without them you are categorically considered poor or deprived. What are those basic things? Food, shelter, clothing and transportation for example. In our modern world, things like a car and a phone are a necessary part of a busy working person. But a $50,000 luxus vehicle is not vital for your existance, I am sure you get the point. If you don't need a luxus vehicle, why should you need the latest model of a cell phone? Keep in mind that the latest releases are not practical. Trying to be always 'up to date' will cost you a lot of money which you could spent much more wisely.

Less Is Better - Extravagance yes, but very rarely, unless your profession is being a king/queen. A little affluence in terms of the food we eat or the clothes we wear is sometimes nice, but be sure to reserve it for special occasions and only for cases when you have some excess left in your household budget.

Spend Less; Save More - Don't spend more than what you earn. It is a bad habit which is often the root of financial downfall. Reserve a certain percentage of your earnings to go into your savings accounts while spending the rest for your day-to-day expenses. Unexpected costs can always come up - the visitation of your relatives or a house party to name something - so you need to make sure that those situations won't get you in financial troubles. Always keep enough reserves.

How To Use Blogs To Make Money

Blogs can offer you a great opportunity to make more money from the internet. There are many people earning a full time income just from blogging. The great thing about blogs is that you do not even need your own domain name because you can get a blog for free at many places like Blogger and Yahoo 360.
A blog is simply like an online diary and should contain your honest opinions and views on certain topics you decide to write about. The best approach is to create one or a handful at most of blogs and then focus on adding the best and most useful content you can find. Remember that the content is one of the main keys to the success of your blog.
The first step is to decide the topic of your blog. Of course you want to stay in a niche that has many potential buyers and searchers. It is important to do your keyword research so make sure you are using a tool like the free overture keyword tool to check the number of searches for the main keywords in your niche. If there are over sixty to seventy thousand searches in a month then the niche may be profitable.
Once you have found a niche the next step is to select a name for your blog. If this is your first blog then use the Blogger platform since it is owned by none other than Google themselves so it is a great blogging service. Pick a name that is keyword rich, target the main keyword in your niche, this will help you to rank better for that keyword. The next step is to pick a template. Try to select one that is as unique as possible however do not worry too much about the template.
If you want you can customize your template and add a header image if you like by editing the html of the template. This is often a good idea since it will separate your blog from every other one and help to make it look unique. Photoshop is a great tool to help you create great headers, you can download a free trial from their site and make sure to learn from the vast array of free tutorials that are available on the internet that can show you how to make great looking header graphics.
The next step is to create content for your blog. Make sure that your content is as unique as possible. If you like you can add articles from article directories but do not rely on them solely. The best way to create content is to become like a researcher and learn all you can about your niche. Truly become an expert that people can rely on and trust. This will help you to create great posts that are also original. Learn from other experts in your niche and read their articles and visit their sites to learn more.
When using blogger it is best to not make more than 1 quality post per day otherwise you may get flagged for spamming. The best way to promote your blog without spending money on advertising is probably article marketing. You need to write quality articles on your niche around 650 words and submit them to major article directories like Ezinearticles. Also add your blog to as many link directories as possible.
You can even use article submission services to automate the submitting process since it can get tedious. This way you can focus on writing good quality articles instead of spending hours submitting them. Add 1 new post per day and continue promoting via articles to build greater web presence for your blog. Have patience and give your blog at least six months to grow and mature. Add affiliate links to the side of your blogs or at the bottom of your posts.
In time your blog may rank well in the search engines and you could receive very good levels of free traffic which you can then further monetize with adsense too. The key to all of this is consistency so keep at it and put the effort in that is necessary to make it work.

How to Make AutoResponders Work For You

If you have been using email for some time, or if you currently run a website, you'll probably be familiar with autoresponders. Autoresponders are those canned messages that you receive when you email someone. They are commonly used to automatically reply to people who email you that you have received their message and will get back to them in person. Some people use autoresponders for vacation notices, telling their correspondents that they are currently on holiday and will not be responding to the email anytime soon.

Autoresponders are useful to webmasters in a few ways:

1. They can be used at your technical support email address to tell your users that you have received their message and will get back to them soon. Such messages are important because it reassures your customers that their support request has arrived at its destination and will be attended to when you are available.

2. It can be used to send prospective customers information like the price list of your products, your FAQ (frequently asked questions) and other fixed information. People emailing that address will automatically get that message in reply.

3. It can be used to send email course modules. For example, if you have a three week course, with course information or documents to be sent to your students once a week, you can simply request your students to send their addresses to your autoresponder. The autoresponder will then reply to your students with the course package at the scheduled times.

4. A variation of the above is used by some webmasters to sell their courses. They advertise a particular address by which customers can receive a free sample of their courses (or book). The autoresponder then sends (say) 3 chapters from the course or book to the customers over three successive days. On the fourth day, the message asks the customer to sign up for the rest of the paid course or book if they wish to continue. Since the customer has sampled three segments (or chapters) of the course or book, he/she is able to decide whether or not to continue. If the course or book was particularly good, the autoresponder segments can be an effective sales gimmick to draw the customer to buy that product.

Where to Get Autoresponders

If your autoresponder needs are simple, such as merely sending a single message reassuring your customers that you'll get back to them, you can probably use the free autoresponders that usually come as part of your web hosting package. The procedure to set up these autoresponders vary from web host to web host, but it is usually trivial, involving a visit to your web host's control panel to activate it.

If you need an autoresponder to send more than one message, or if you need to schedule messages to be sent at certain intervals over a period of time, you will either need to program your mail system on your domain, or use one of the free (or commercial) autoresponder systems around (some of which are listed below).

The free autoresponder services listed below are third party services: that is, I do not run them nor do I have any control over them. In general, the services are provided free in exchange for advertising - that is, many of them place advertisements in your autoresponders (usually at the beginning). Visit the sites listed below to find out more details.

· SendFree provides statistics on the performance of your autoresponders and advertisements. You also get to place free targeted advertisements on other people's autoresponders. For example, for every two advertisements published in your autoresponder, one of your advertisements is published in someone else's autoresponder.

· FreeAutoBot sends an unlimited series of follow-up messages in an interval you decide. You can personalise the message to include the recipient's name and email address. Unlike most free autoresponders, no advertisements are inserted into your message (at the time I checked them out).

· GetResponse gives you an unlimited number of follow-up email messages of any length. You may attach files to those messages, view the list of email addresses that requested the autoresponders, view statistics on your autoresponders and configure the autoresponders so that replies will be sent to you.

Update (written on 18 December 2002): Cautionary Note

When I first wrote the above article a few years ago, spam was not as serious a problem as it is today, hence the article has a more optimistic view of sending correspondence courses and sales pitches through email.

Today, sending anything by email to people you do not know always involves a risk. Basically, you risk people sending in others' email addresses to your autoresponder and when those people receive your messages, they will accuse you of spamming them.

As such, I recommend that you evaluate your needs before you blindly rush off to implement an autoresponder for your courses or sales pitch or the like. Of course simple autoresponder messages like "Sorry, I'm on vacation" and "I'll get back to you" type of messages for support email addresses are probably okay since it's pretty obvious it's not spam.

Furthermore, if you use autoresponders to send a series of messages, you might also want to include some sort of note at the beginning of the autoresponder to remind your subscribers why they are receiving this. There must also be some way for them to stop receiving those messages.
